Limbo

Independent project at Carnegie Mellon University | Full-length musical adaptation

Inspired by Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy, Virgil is a dead poet who is trapped in Limbo, the land between heaven and hell where souls are condemned to wander aimlessly for all time. When Virgil is given a chance to escape Limbo by the angel Beatrice, he leaps at the opportunity. If he’s able to guide recently deceased everyman Dante through the nine circles of hell and back, Virgil might have something to walk towards again. But he knows his mission is going to be anything but straightforward.
