Artistic Bio
Sally Kozminski (she/her) is a writer, dramaturg, actor, and improviser. Her artistic philosophy began and is heavily based on her time at Piven Theatre Workshop. At Piven, Sally gained her appreciation for improv, ensemble collaboration, and story theatre. She also enjoyed performing in more “normal” plays and musicals at Interlochen Arts Camp and her high school. After high school, Sally took a post-grad year at Interlochen Arts Academy, where she clarified that she wasn’t just passionate about performing, she also loved the process of creating new work.
With this in mind, she chose to pursue a BFA in Dramaturgy at Carnegie Mellon University. While Sally specialized in new work development, she made an effort to be a part of as many different development processes as possible. Over her four years at CMU, she provided dramaturgical counsel and/or writing assistance on multiple short plays, two musicals, two TV pilots, a one-act festival for middle and high school playwrights, and a full-length thesis written by an MFA playwriting candidate.
Since graduating, Sally has been strengthening her TV writing muscles and collaborating with others to (create some cool projects and) keep her dramaturgy skills sharp.
