The Young Playwrights Festival is a competition and new play festival for Pittsburgh playwrights ages 13-18. Each of the 6 chosen playwrights are paired with a dramaturg, who collaborates with them to explore and clarify their scripts. The playwrights strengthen their scripts, and the plays are staged and performed by an ensemble of professional actors. A City Theatre tradition, YPF is beloved by creatives, students, and civilian audiences alike.
